Wow - My Husband

I really can't find words for this picture. He is amazing and caring. My husband has always wanted kids. Even when we first started dating, he talked about having kids one day. I, on the other hand...wasn't so fond of that idea. But now, this picture just takes my breath away.

Reasons why I love my husband.

1) Loving
2) Passionate in all areas of his life
3) A wonderful Father
4) He makes awesome Mexican Food!
5) He takes charge
6) He has goals and one by one - meeting them
7) Protective
8) Drinks coffee with me in the mornings
9) Super hot!
10) Adores me
11) The chemistry that we have together is one of a kind.

There are many more reasons of why I love him, but the main one is that he is MY husband. The one that I fall asleep with, the one that I wake up next to, the one that I want to grow old with.

Things I've done so far...

Here are things that I want my daughter to know about me when she is older..

Ive..

1. danced in the rain.
2. pulled over on the side of the road to watch a lightening storm in the middle of the night.
3. been the first person that someone has seen in the beginning of their life.
4. cried watching the notebook.
5. loved and lost.
6. realized the true importance of family
7. sat in church and seen my wedding ring sparkle with intensity.
8. jumped in the car at midnight and drove 5 hours because I needed to see someone I love
9. gone sky diving and have experienced the definition of "free falling".
10. jumped into a pond without worrying.
11. sat on the back of a pick up truck and looked at the stars.
12. danced in the middle of a pasture.
13. given 1000 kisses to my child and felt like she still needed more
14. laughed so hard that tears came
15. planned out a future with goals
16. ate sushi and now can't get enough of it
17. made snow angels
18. taken mental pictures of a special moment
19. given hugs that mean something
20. dreamed of the stars and have received them one by one
21. realized I didn't live until Sienna was in my life
22. met the love of my life on a train

More to come...

"Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory." -Susan B. Anthony

Daddy!

"Walk a little slower Daddy,"
said a child so small,
"I'm following in your footsteps
and I don't want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true,
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you."

Days like today!

You know, I really wonder where my time has gone. Sienna is just doing incredible! We have swim time after work and daycare almost everyday and I'm always up in her face trying to see what she's looking at. I want to see the world through her eyes every chance I get. She's probably telling me to get out of her face! But oh well!
Carlos is doing great. He's been SO busy with the valley and Austin and NOW he is how to start working on two other cities! So very proud of him. He's working out a lot, focusing on his health and is looking GREAT. Sienna is loving her daddy and daughter time and our weekends are perfect.
My job is going great as well. Super busy and just the way I like it. We have the condo on the market and if/when that sell -we are on to a house! I'll keep you updated!

BITER

Carlos has been out of town for the past week or so. It gets easier every time that he leaves because I know how hard he is working to be a wonderful provider to this family. I say easier - because my time is now focused to a 1 year old! How time flies.

I watch her and see a baby turning into a little girl. A very FEISTY little girl! She's become a biter of which I am her ONLY target!
At first it was my shoulders and then it moved down to my legs! Craziness I tell you!
But what is so wonderful is how much time we get to spend together. After I pick her up from daycare and she takes her 30 min nap *this is when mommy can eat*. We grab our bathing suits and swim in the pool for a good hour. The temperature of the water is perfect and the sun is not blistering. Sienna LOVES the water. I'm now considering getting those water classes for her!
Oh! This weekend Carlos's mom is taking Sienna to Dallas with her. Time for Mommy and Daddy to travel back to the days of sleeping in, doing whatever we want and not around a nap schedule...yes - this will be a cherished weekend!
